California Boys & Girls State of

Dear American Legion Post 130,

I hope your summer is going well. Today is the last day of Boys and Girls State in California.

I am one of the delegates that this post sent this year. I wanted to thank you all for the amazing experience and opportunity that you were able to create for me, and all the other delegates that got sent this year. It was a fun, informative week that has left me with a deeper understanding of our state and many new friends. Serving on my city’s council, I helped to draft and pass many ordinances and got to work closely with my fellow delegates to create the best possible week for all of us. This program also helped to get me out of my comfort zone and try things that I would not have done otherwise. This is an experience that I will treasure for a long time, and will affect many other aspects of my life.
