Bovs and Girls State Dinner

Tickets are now available for our annual Tri-Tip dinner on September 13th. This is our primary fundraiser to support the Boy's and Girl's State program, and high school leadership scholarships.

Details are in the flyer below. Tickets can be purchased by contacting my information below, by ordering on line at www.lincolnlegion.org/ events , or by scanning the QR code in the flyer. Tickets are $45 each or $315 for a table of eight {for the price of seven).

We need your support to fund these valuable youth programs.

Nevada County Armed Forces Day presented by County of Nevada, Golden Empire Flying Association, American Legion Post 130 and Nevada County VSO. Free Public Admission. Pancake breakfast, military and civilian aircraft, fly-bys and displays, aircraft rides, Demos and Veteran Support booths, Classic car and military vehicles, food trucks, beer and wine. Help us honor our local heroes.

It's a good event to see and to be seen at.  Several Veterans Organizations will be present to help promote the activities and events we are Part of. If you can volunteer a few hours at the fair contact The VSO's office. They will direct you to the organizations that will be present and can use some help.

Memorial Day Bridges Tour

Our bridges and underpasses have plaques to honor our Local Fallen Heroes. Look for them on any bridge in Grass Valley and Nevada City.

Monday, May 26, from 1:00-3:00, we will have docents at each bridge to tell you about each local soldier. You can tour on your own or meet at 1:00 in front of the Grass Valley Veterans Hall for a bus tour.

"Little Town of Washington" Car Show

The "Little Town of Washington" is making tremendous progress in constructing a Veterans Memorial .

The City has obtained the land to construct the monument from the County .

Engineers have been contacted to perform the necessary surveys and Property engineering. Permits are in process.

In order to help pay for all this the Town will be staging a classic car get together on May 17th. As a component of the show Armed Forces Day will also be honored.

Your invited to participate in or simply visit the event.

We will have exciting raffle prizes to offer this month. A brand new George Foreman electric grill!!! Just to name one.

You will see our members in front of several local stores Memorial Day weekend presenting poppies. This is the auxiliary's main fund raiser, so please help us help our local veterans.

District 7 Auxiliary Unit will be meeting.


0900 - Social Time: Coffee and Donuts may be available (Donations appreciated)
0930 – Executive and Finance Committees meet, if needed
1000 – Regular meeting
1100 – Post everlasting
1130 – Lunch
1300 - meeting will continue, if necessary.

Lunch, Hamburgers provided by the Auxiliary - Donation of $10 is requested

agenda.

REMEMBER THAT EACH POST IS TO BRING A FUND-RAISING ITEM.
