I found an old photo of me working a Shell station. In the

photo the pump showed 29 cents ... and Green stamps included! Lately my favorite?

The Post Office.

I have Members telling me they mailed a check in a week ago from Nevada City to Post 130's P.O mail box in Grass Valley. Did you get it?!? No ...

Why? It goes from the mail drop box, to the local Post Office, then down to Sacramento to be sorted then back to the Grass Valley Post Office to get in the delivery line, then scheduled to be delivered. Figure a week plus+!

For about 10 years, the mailed monthly newsletter has been stapled in one corner. Just like many others it was processed routinely. Last month? The Post Office rejected the news ... not all of them! About 30 of the 120 mailed ... because it contained a staple (they all did). Oh wait" ... of course if you want to staple it, they relayed, just add another 70 cents postage to the 70 cents postage. $1.40 ..."

(ok Mike put the weapon down!)  

So ... sorry to those not receiving the news this past month. We changed the layout so as to avoid the extra charge and random rejections ... Hopefully.

Good News? Yep ... We've had several new Members transfer in to Post 130 this past Month.
